Transfer Group

We are a multi-professional interest group involving all adult critical care units in the Network working alongside our Ambulance Trust providers.

Our aims are to oversee all adult critical care transfers across the Thames Valley and Wessex network, including those from Emergency Departments, clinical and capacity transfers, and repatriations.

We aim to ensure equipment, policies and training are standardised across the Network and are aligned with national guidelines where appropriate.

We discuss and review any transfer-related critical incidents and ensure learning is disseminated across the Network.

Learning is shared to promote best practice in both inter- and intra-hospital transfers.
