Critical care Professional Nurse advocate (PNA) group
Critical care Professional Nurse advocate (PNA) group are Lead PNAs supporting and coordinating the delivery of professional nurse advocates in critical care in critical care units in the Network. The Critical care PNA support the workforce through restorative supervision and mentorship for the delivery of Quality Improvement initiatives.
The purpose of the Critical care PNA group is to provide a voice for the Critical care Professional Nurse Advocates (PNA) to formally promote, celebrate, support, develop and share best practices among PNAs working in units under the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Adult Critical Care Operational Delivery Network.
Furthermore, they represent the views of PNAs working in Adult critical care areas in units within the Network, sharing educational opportunities, expertise, knowledge, and insight and discuss best practices to enable standards to be effectively developed and implemented in critical care areas.
The group also act as an initial reference point and source of advisory expertise to collaboratively inform NHS England initiatives and programme, furthermore providing advice and insight around delivery of services by PNAs
